Leigh Drew (Author of Greenilicious) and Pam Ahern, Founder of Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary
Last Friday night we threw a delicious party at the Cruelty Free Shop in Glebe to celebrate of the launch of our newest vegan book Greenilicious: 101 Ways to Love Your Greens. Greenilicious is an exciting new cookbook that seeks to make green vegetables the main attraction of everyday eating. Featuring a nutritional guide by Amanda Benham, Australia’s leading vegan nutritionist and 2013 Vegan of the Year, Greenilicious showcases over 100 delectable greens-based recipes all sprung from the endlessly inventive imagination of Veganissimo! author Leigh Drew.
Leigh also created the spread for the night which featured dishes from the book including Mini Asparagus Crustless Quiches, Mushroom Rockerfellers, Pesto Broccolini Pizzas and Green Crepes stuffed with Cashew Cream Cheese. We were incredibly fortunate to welcome as a guest of honour Pam Ahern, founder of Edgar’s Mission: an animal sanctuary. Pam gave deeply inspirational speech about her own journey towards animal advocacy and veganism which drove home the great benefits and rewards of a consciously vegan lifestyle. With a bevy of vegan treats at our disposal, it was an incredible night!
